Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili appointed the Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani and the Minister of Finance Ivane Machavariani as Vice Prime Ministers. He informed the media about the decision before the government session.
David Zalkaliani served as the Vice PM in the cabinet of Garibashvili’s predecessor, Giorgi Gakharia, while Machavariani replaced the former Minister of Infrastructure Maia Tskitishvili in the role following her resignation.
Tskitishvili quit the post a few hours after Gakharia resigned.
