Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia announced stated that the municipal Development Fund of Georgia has launched the design phase of a new multi-functional complex in Surami, a town in the Khashuri Municipality.
A contract has already been signed with the winning company, with the project to be implemented in four phases, covering full design and planning works.
The project aims to create a modern area serving residents of Surami, Khashuri and nearby villages, addressing both sports and cultural-educational needs.
The planned complex will include:
- Indoor sports facilities for judo, wrestling, boxing, MMA, gymnastics, fencing and table tennis
- Fitness and training halls
- Large and small swimming pools
In addition to sports infrastructure, the complex will feature a range of community-oriented facilities, including:
- A media library
- Choreography and arts studios
- Folklore and foreign language learning spaces
- A STEM club
- A multifunctional event hall
Administrative and technical zones will also be integrated into the development.
The project also emphasizes the development of supporting infrastructure across the site, including:
- Parking areas
- Pedestrian pathways
- Recreational and landscaped green zones
- Outdoor lighting and security systems
- water supply infrastructure
