The Ministry of Finance of Georgia has officially submitted the Economic Reform Programme (ERP) 2025-2027 to the European Commission within the government-set deadline, marking the country’s second submission of the form as an EU candidate.
Georgia joined the ERP preparations in late 2023 following the acquisition of the EU candidate status. The document serves as the medium-term framework for Georgian macroeconomic policies, aligning with the ‘Vision 20230 Georgian Development Strategy’.
Primary concerns of the framework:
- Macroeconomic and Fiscal Planning: Analysis based on the 2025 budget and projections for 2025–2028.
- Public Finance Management: Focused on strengthening fiscal oversight.
- Structural Reforms: Built on recommendations from the European Commission and outlined in Georgia’s strategic action plans.
The Ministry highlighted that the submission of this form reflects progress made through recommendations from the European Commission’s 2024 evaluation of the previous ERP (2024–2026).
