The National Tourism Administration under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia participated in the international tourism exhibition SITF Korea 2026 held in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Adjara Tourism and Resorts Department, Imereti Destination Management Organization, and 11 Georgian private companies were also presented at the exhibition.
The National Tourism Administration says Georgian participants showcased tourism products to the Korean business sector and held meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation and increasing tourist flows.
“The National Tourism Administration was presented at a tourism exhibition in Seoul, Korea, together with more than 10 Georgian companies. The Korean business sector got acquainted with the products of Georgian companies, and the exhibition was very successful.
We think that this new direction is very interesting for us. Together we will be able to bring many more Korean travelers to Georgia. It is worth noting the fact that during the year we hosted several groups from Korea, both in the direction of influencers and television programs, which will help us to increase the awareness of Georgia in South Korea,” said the Head of the National Tourism Administration, Maya Omiadze.
During the four-day exhibition, presentations on Georgia were held, alongside meetings with Korean tourism companies and industry associations, focusing on attracting more visitors from the Republic of Korea.
The event brought together more than 400 tourism organisations from 40 countries and attracted over 35,000 visitors.
Statistical data show the number of visits from the Republic of Korea to Georgia increased by 67.2% compared to the same period last year.
