Elplus, for First time in Georgia, Starts Production of Fire Safety Equipment

“Elplus,” a beneficiary of the state program “Produce in Georgia,” has started production of fire safety equipment for the first time in Georgia. Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava attended the opening of a local enterprise and showroom.

The company Elplus produces fire-fighting equipment, everything related to fire protection of buildings. The company is gradually and purposefully replacing imports with local production.

The company with the program Produce in Georgia, Bank of Georgia, and under the EBRD program gained funding and founded a new, European-standard, high-tech enterprise equipped with modern equipment. The company invested GEL 6,000,000, of which GEL 2,000,000 was financed within the framework of the Produce Georgia project.

“It is very important that we support such Georgian productions more. This will be possible within the framework of our renewed, expanded program because it is an import substitute production, which prepares such high-quality inventory that the demand from our construction companies, our organizations mainly comes from this Georgian-made fire-fighting inventory and equipment,” said the Minister.
