Telegram founder Pavel Durov says Georgia is becoming a “major business hub” and remains an underappreciated destination for both tourism and business, adding that he plans to return to the country soon.
Writing on X about a month after his visit to Georgia, Durov said the country’s economy had doubled over the past five years and was growing by 8% annually.
“Georgia is becoming a major business hub,” he wrote. “The country’s economy doubled in 5 years and is growing by 8% a year. International tech companies pay 0% corporate tax and just 5% on dividends and salaries.”
Durov added that Georgia is “seriously underrated as a place to visit and do business.”
In a separate post on Telegram, the entrepreneur said he plans to visit Georgia again “very soon.”
