Golden Tulip Design Tbilisi won the prestigious award of the World Travel Awards for the second time and received the status of “Leading Design Hotel”.
The 31st World Travel Awards ceremony was held in The Ritz-Carlton Berlin. WTA was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward, and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry. Today, the WTA brand is recognized globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire. It is the travel industry’s most prestigious awards program, rewarding leaders in the tourism, airline, hotel, and hospitality sectors.
“It’s truly a privilege to be recognized once again as the Best Leading Design Hotel. This prestigious accolade not only underscores our commitment to hospitality excellence but also highlights the collective effort and dedication of the entire team at Golden Tulip Design Tbilisi. Our vision for providing a distinctive guest experience in a stylish contemporary environment has been rewarded, and we are immensely proud of this achievement. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every member of our team whose hard work and passion have contributed to our success. This award is a testament to our innovative approach and the support we’ve received from Block Group and its managing partner Tornike Janashvili. Their inspiration and encouragement have played a pivotal role in our journey towards creating an exceptional destination.” – Elene Otarashvili, General Manager of Hotel Golden Tulip Design Tbilisi.
Golden Tulip is a strategic brand of the world’s leading multi-brand Hospitality Group – Louvre Hotels. Currently, this growing group operates 1,600 hotels in 54 countries. The hotel is under the management of Golden Tulip MENA/LHG, known for its innovative brand standards and unique brand markers. These are designed to deliver contemporary, locally-infused services and create an atmosphere that seamlessly blends modernity with the historical essence, thereby optimizing the hotel’s offerings and profitability.
The hotel has 77 modern-designed rooms and includes everything needed for a comfortable rest. Each room of the hotel is decorated with works created by hand by Georgian artists and conveys important fragments of the history of Georgia. Golden Tulip Design Tbilisi combines a Restaurant, a Rooftop Terrace, and 2 Conference Halls.
The building, with distinctive architecture, offers an extraordinary view of the Mtkvari River and the historical part of the capital. Noa Studio worked on the design of the hotel under the guidance of the famous Portuguese designer Cesar Ribeiro. It`s a piece of modern art and design in the heart of Tbilisi. Both the exterior and the interior of the modernist building are a kind of game with geometric shapes.
The project was implemented by the investment company Block Group, which has a 28-year history of operating in the Georgian market. Currently, the group is working on two major projects in the tourism sector. We are talking about two multifunctional skyscrapers – Central Park Towers and a 180-room hotel under the Radisson brand in the center of Tbilisi.
