Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 3780 New Cases, 30 Deaths

Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 3780 New Cases, 30 Deaths

Georgia reported 3780 coronavirus cases, 2052 recoveries, and 30 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.

41,907 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country.

The testing revealed that Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1640 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 628 cases, and the Imereti region with 395 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate now stands at 9.02 %, while it was 8.05 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 440,353, among them, 395,505 people recovered and 6016 died.

As of August 6th, 583,647 people had received the coronavirus vaccine jab.

Health officials continuously urge the population to get vaccinated.
