Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 1547 New Cases,18 Deaths

Georgia reported 1547 coronavirus cases, 1131 recoveries, and 18 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.

25,541 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. The testing revealed that Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 907 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 141 cases, and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 117 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 6.06%, while it was 5, 66% in the past 14 days.

Presently, 54,687 people have been vaccinated in the country so far.

The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the pandemic is 319,266, among them, 298 807 people recovered and 4245 died.

Currently, there are 16,214 active cases of infection in the country.
