Children’s Development Center “Bright Academy” Opened in Tbilisi

COVER

Children’s development center “Bright Academy” is located in Tbilisi, Oniashili #33. The center was created to support children with special needs and to promote the realization of their abilities to the maximum extent.

“We tried to develop a new plan and make a center where all the services a child might need for development would be in one space. With us, the child’s neuropsychological evaluation, as well as the assessment of language, sensory integration, etc., is possible,” said Teona Gavashelishvili, the director of the company, on the morning broadcast of “formula”.

According to her, due to the covid pandemic, many children faced developmental difficulties, which can be easily overcome with the intervention of specialists in such centers.

“This is not only about the spectrum of autism- because of the pandemic, many children have been found to have different types of developmental difficulties. Developmental delays and emotional difficulties are very common in children, which in some cases can be easily resolved if a specialist intervenes.

The co-founder of the company, Nazi Putkaradze-Mikeladze, while talking about future plans, said that they plan to bring in foreign specialists and retrain kindergarten teachers.

“We strive for development, because this field is very developing and necessary. We would like to bring foreign specialists who will train our employees; In addition, we were in the “Union of Kindergartens” and offered assistance, within the framework of which we will help several nurseries as a pilot, retrain educators and send assistants who will help educators identify this condition in a child.”

Currently, Bright Academy offers its customers three different packages. The offers differ from each other in the number of sessions per week, depending on the specifics of the therapy.
