In the past few days, this is the second incident of a car falling into the Mtkvari River from the Metekhi Bridge. On March 4, rescuers retrieved a car from the Mtkvari River in Tbilisi after it fell from the Metekhi Bridge.
The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, died in the accident.
It is still unknown whether the cars falling from the Metekhi Bridge are caused by poor road conditions in the area or if it is merely a coincidence.
