The Bakurtsikhe-Tsnori bypass road became the 4th ADB-supported road project in past 10 months in Georgia.

“The Bakurtsikhe-Tsnori 18km bypass road is the fourth ADB-supported road project inaugurated in the past 10 months in Georgia,” ADB noted. “Since October last year, we have celebrated the opening of the Khevi-Ubisa and Shorapani-Argveta sections in the Rikoti Pass – new, 4-lane modern, high-standard roads ensuring safety and shorter travel time; and we have completed boring works at the Kvesheti-Kobi 9km tunnel. The tunnel is part of a 23-km road project that will provide modern safety standards and open the remote mountainous region year-round for more economic opportunities and better living standards for the local population.”
