Summing up his visit to New York, Mikheil Kavelashvili told journalists that he had raised the issue of resetting relations with the United States during a brief meeting with President Donald Trump.
“The public is probably interested in the dinner hosted by the President of the United States, where our small meeting took place. Of course, I was warmly welcomed. I told him that it is time for our relations to start from a clean slate. He repeated that he would take care of this issue and promised to return to it and contact me,” Kavelashvili said.
He claimed that discussions with the US administration also included meetings with the Secretary of Commerce and other officials.
