The Central Election Commission (CEC) has started printing ballots for the October 4, 2025 municipal elections in four Tbilisi printing houses. The process is monitored by CEC members and observer organizations to ensure transparency and quality.
CEC Chairperson Giorgi Kalandarishvili, who inspected the process stressed the importance of strict oversight, mentioning that ballots must meet high standards for both modernized and traditional polling stations.
A total of 3,897,500 ballots will be produced, including versions in Georgian-Armenian (103,200) and Georgian-Azerbaijani (295,100) for minority-populated regions. Printing began on September 21 and will continue for several days before distribution to election commissions.
