Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is currently participating in the 6th European Political Community (EPC) Summit, held today, May 16, in Tirana, Albania. The summit brings together leaders from 47 countries and European institutions under the theme “New Europe in a new world: unity – cooperation – joint action”.
Invited by European Council President António Costa and hosted by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, the summit focuses on key topics such as European security, economic resilience, and youth empowerment. Prime Minister Kobakhidze is accompanied by Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili and Chief of Government Administration Levan Jorjoliani.
During the summit, Kobakhidze emphasized Georgia’s national interests, including regional stability and European integration. He expressed readiness to engage with various leaders, stating, “We will address all relevant topics”.
Notably, Kobakhidze had a friendly conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron during the event.
The summit’s agenda includes a plenary session on security challenges, followed by roundtable discussions on:
