Tbilisi Mayor and ruling party figure Kakha Kaladze delivered a controversial message, forecasting another Georgian Dream victory in the 2028 elections and criticizing European officials for what he called political pressure.
“All the responsibility lies with those European, spoiled bureaucrats who address the Georgian people and the Georgian state with the language of blackmail,” Kaladze declared.
Reaffirming the party’s stance against external influence, he added, “We will not allow anyone to pressure us, whether through the European integration process or on a personal level. Georgia’s interests will not be sacrificed.”
Kaladze’s comments come as tensions between the ruling party and Western partners rise, particularly over concerns related to human rights and democracy.
