A Georgian delegation participated in a commemoration event for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, held at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Poland. The event, bringing together international leaders and humanitarians, honored the memory of Holocaust victims.
The Georgian delegation, led by Minister of Culture Tinatin Rukhadze, included Ambassador to Poland Diana Zhghenti, Senior Counselor at the Embassy of Georgia Davit Kurtanidze, and Ministry of Culture representative Shorena Tsitsagi.
“The Holocaust is a stark reminder of the horrors of intolerance and hatred. Preserving historical memory is crucial in ensuring that such atrocities never happen again,” said Minister Rukhadze during the ceremony, organized by the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum to preserve the collective memory of hatred and extremism that must be eliminated.
