The international activist hacker group Anonymous has declared a “cyber war” against the current government of Georgia, stating that the party and its leader, Bidzina Ivanishvili, have betrayed the Georgian people and their will.

“Your oppressive regime will fail, as will your attempts to silence the fight for justice,” the statement Anonymous shared on social media reads.

Anonymous promised to stand with the Georgian people, helping to make their voices heard, and targeting the ‘oppressive system.’ The group also highlighted the importance of the internet as a tool to uncover truth and achieve liberation.
