Galt & Taggart published a report revealing that money transfers to Georgia fell by 1.5% in October 2024, amounting to $281.1 million, following a 1.1% decline the previous month.
A detailed breakdown of key regions from which transfers were sent is as follows:
- European Union: 11.5% y/y increase, 45.9% of total
- United States: 20.6% y/y increase, 18.1% of total
- Israel: 23.1% y/y increase, 7.5% of total
- Russia: 44.5% decrease, 12.2% of total
- Kazakhstan: 53.8% decrease, 2.7% of total
During the first ten months of 2024, overall money transfers decreased by 20.6%, amounting to $2.8 billion. G&T predicts that total transfers in 2024 will reach $3.4 billion.
