After four days of matches, Lopota Cup 2024, the amateur tennis championship, concluded. The annual tournament, supported by Lopota Spa Resort, had an increased prize fund of GEL 35,000 this year, traditionally uniting tennis devotees. The prize money, apart from other sorts of gifts from sponsor companies, was distributed among the first and second-place holders. The winners received prize cups designed by sculptor Irakli Tsuladze specifically for this event.

First place (prize worth of GEL 7,000) – Tarash Kikaleishvili
Second place (prize with of GEL 5,000) – Zviad Kalmakhelidze.
Women (Category A, veteran players):
First place (prize worth of GEL 3,500) – Tinatin Turmanidze
Second place (prize worth of GEL 2,000) – Chachkhunashvili.
Women (B category, amateur players):
First place (prize worth of GEL 3,500) – Ana Ramazashvili
Second place (prize worth of GEL 2,000) – Salome Lomadze
Doubles teams (Pro-Am):
First place (prize worth GEL 7,000) – Teimuraz Shengelia and Teimuraz Gabashvili
Second place (prize worth GEL 5,000) – Sandro Svanidze and Nikolos Akopiani.
One of the oldest brandy manufacturers in Georgia, ‘Sarajishvii’, in partnership with VR Holding, presented a special gift of GEL 4,000 to Khatia Gogaladze, the winner of the 2023 Lopota Cup and the semi-finalist for the 2024 edition
The tournament was founded by Goga Maisuradze many years ago and after the discontinuation for a few years, it resumed in 2022 with a newly established and professionally equipped tennis court.
Since it garnered a lot of attention, the championship recommenced annually, with general sponsors VR Holding and Sarajishvili. Other notable sponsors include Bakuriani, Porsche Center Tbilisi, World Class Georgia, Paul Georgia, and Château Buera. While the informational support is ensured by Georgia Today, Lifestyle Art, Rustavi 2, Palitra Media Holding, and Interpressnews.
