Walnuts worth $3.17 million were imported into the country in the first seven months last year, but doubles to $6.15 million worth in the same period this year.
This year, in January-July, the import of walnuts without shells into Georgia increased by 94%, and the import of walnuts with shells by 7.7%.
In January-July, walnuts with shells were imported from Ukraine, Turkey, China and Argentina.
