Striking employees of Evolution Georgia call on the gov’t to intervene in the process

The protest of Evolution Georgia employees continues. The striking employees called on the government to intervene in the process and take a stand.

They claim that if the government does not issue a statement before 20:00, they will be forced to block Tornike Eristavi Street, in order to protect the health and lives of the hungry.

“Today is the 39th day of the strike, and during this time neither the government nor the president made a statement, nor did the public defender come to the scene. We assign responsibility for the processes developed in the future to the government and this company. People are starving for the 7th day and we will not allow their lives and health to be in danger. We call on the government to make a statement before 20:00. We also call on the public to come and show solidarity with the people who are employed by this company in order to protect labor rights in this country. Otherwise, we are forced to block the road in front of us.

Emigration has increased because companies set low labor standards. This process will continue until complete victory. We ask the government to take a position regarding the developed events. We call on him to take measures against greedy employers so that they make concessions,” said Giorgi Diasamidze, the chairman of Labor, an organization protecting the interests of employees.

The striking employees are mobilized at the entrance of the company’s administration building and do not allow other employees to enter the building.

In addition, 4 striking employees of Evolution Georgia are still on hunger strike.

For the record, a number of employees of the online casino Evolution Georgia went on strike on July 12.

The main demand of the strikers is decent working conditions, starting with a salary increase.

In addition, the participants of the strike are demanding more time for breaks, improvement of sanitary and hygienic conditions in the workplace, a safe and comfortable working environment, provision of healthy meals and food vouchers in the workplace, improvement of the insurance package, and an environment free from discrimination and degrading attitudes.
