Gakharia: NATO’s summit did not mention Georgia in the context of joining – GD is a direct threat to national security

Ivanishvili and his party are successfully continuing the deliberate destruction of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration process, as well as the prospect of joining the European Union and strategic partnership with America, Giorgi Gakharia, the leader of the “Gakharia for Georgia” party, writes in the social media.

Gakharia claims that the ruling party “represents a direct threat” to the national security of Georgia.

In addition, as Gakharia writes, “Georgian dream” leads the country to authoritarianism and isolation.

“For the first time since 2008, the Washington summit of NATO did not mention Georgia in the context of joining. Ivanishvili and his party are successfully continuing the deliberate destruction of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration process, as well as the prospect of joining the European Union and its strategic partnership with America. The ruling party is a direct threat to the national security of Georgia. The Dream government threatens our sovereignty, territorial integrity, democracy and the European future. The Dream is leading the country to authoritarianism and isolation. Georgia must defeat Ivanishvili in order to be able to return to the path of democratic development, European and Euro-Atlantic integration”, said Giorgi Gakharia.

For information, the Washington Summit of NATO in the published declaration calls on Russia to withdraw its forces from the Republic of Moldova and Georgia.

“We also call on Russia to withdraw all its forces from the Republic of Moldova and Georgia, which are stationed there without their consent,” the declaration reads.

It should be noted that in the declaration of the Washington summit, there is no record that Georgia will become a member of NATO.
