Based on the decision of the Georgian Government, the Interagency Council for Development and Reform has been established, which will develop a ten-year development plan of the country at the initiative of Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
The Governmental Administration reports that the interagency council was set up to effectively respond to the challenges facing the country and will be headed by the head of the Georgian Government.
Reportedly, the members of the Development and Reform Council will be ministers, MPs and other officials.
“The Development and Reform Council is authorized to set up working groups and subgroups, and if necessary, to invite representatives of other agencies or specialists in the relevant field, experts and representatives of the private sector.
“The goal of the Development and Reform Council is to submit the initial document of the ten-year development plan of the country to the Government of Georgia no later than May 31, 2021,” the government administration said in a statement.
The resolution on the establishment of the Interagency Council for Development and Reform of the country has already been signed by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
