Historic victory at the European Championship – in the third match of the group stage, Georgia defeated the Portuguese team 2:0.
With this result, the Georgian national team gained 4 points and entered the round of 16.
The first goal of the match was scored by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the second minute after the start of the match. The second goal, in the second half, was scored by Giorgi Mikautadze with a penalty.
On June 30, Georgia will face Spain in the round of 16.
Georgia’s first match of the European Championship was played against Turkey on June 18, seeing Georgia lose 1:3. In their second match held on June 22, the meeting with the Czech national team ended in a draw, 1:1.
