At the sitting of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, the MPs discussed the amendments to the Law on Violence Against Women and/or Elimination of Domestic Violence, Protection, and Support of Victims of Violence.
According to Tamar Barkalaia, Deputy Minister of Health, the amendment instructs the Georgian government to approve the amount and rule of payment of compensation for victims until January 1, 2025.
The Committee endorsed the changes.
