Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated at today’s meeting of the government that new minibus routes are to be added to the Tbilisi public transport system.
Kaladze noted the complete renovation of public transport has started, adding that the minibus will be completely renovated and put in order by the end of the year.
“I would like to inform you about the new routes added to the districts and streets, where public transport was a serious problem or was not available: Routes 421, 443, and 446 which cover Guramishvili metro station to the sea district, the village of Digomi to the Saburtalo and Mtatsminda districts, and the village of Digomi to the villages of Didgori and Telovani. In addition, Routes 454 and 494 will replace the existing Routes 54 and 104,” Kaladze said.
The Mayor of Tbilisi noted that new blue minibuses will start working on the route, adding that by the end of the year the problem of minibuses will be solved and none of the older yellow minibuses will be left in the capital.
