The Zurab Sabakhtarishvili Reproductive Clinic was founded in 2009 under the leadership of Mr. Zurab Sabakhtarishvili and Mrs. Tatia Sabakhtarishvili.
We began our work at the Vake Medical Center with just two rooms. Later, we added two more to accommodate our laboratory. In 2012, we moved into a 1,000-square-meter facility that included surgical services, in vitro fertilization, and other specialized departments. Today, the clinic occupies 2,200 square meters.
When we first opened, we helped bring approximately 120 babies into the world each year. By 2025, that number had increased to 904 annually, with more than 8,552 births achieved overall.
Mr. Zurab Sabakhtarishvili passed away in 2013. Since then, I have led the clinic together with my team.
One of the first initiatives I introduced was what I call the 5P Principle, which is still displayed on my office door today: professionalism, honesty, respect for the patient’s individuality, and, of course, self-respect.
In 2016, we earned our first European certification, at a time when very few healthcare institutions in Georgia were discussing European accreditation. We subsequently renewed and expanded our certifications in 2019, 2022, 2024, and through 2027. Today, we hold five European standard certifications, each reflecting our commitment to continuously updated knowledge and professional excellence.

Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) is defined as the loss of two or more clinically confirmed pregnancies. This condition requires an individualized and comprehensive evaluation.
At our clinic, RPL is viewed as a multifactorial condition that may be associated with genetic, anatomical, endocrinological, immunological, or hemostatic factors. For this reason, our approach is based on step-by-step, evidence-based, and patient-centered management.
The diagnostic process begins with a detailed medical history and a thorough review of previous pregnancy losses. Further investigations are planned according to each patient’s individual clinical presentation.
Our clinic offers comprehensive evaluation of uterine anatomy using advanced ultrasound technologies, including 3D and 4D imaging, as well as all necessary laboratory, hormonal, and genetic testing. When indicated, additional specialized investigations are also performed.
Treatment is based on an individualized care plan developed after the diagnostic evaluation. This plan takes into account the patient’s age, reproductive history, coexisting medical conditions, and the underlying causes identified during the assessment.
Management may include preconception preparation, targeted treatment, and individualized monitoring from the earliest stages of pregnancy after conception.
The most important message for patients is that recurrent pregnancy loss does not mean there is no hope. With carefully planned diagnostics and appropriate treatment, a successful pregnancy is achievable in the vast majority of cases.
Since 2016, our clinic has been a certified center for the management of recurrent pregnancy loss. During this time, more than 500 couples who had experienced two or more pregnancy losses, including one couple with a history of 11 miscarriages, have gone on to become parents.
According to our clinic’s data, approximately nine out of ten couples ultimately achieve a successful outcome, resulting in the birth of a healthy baby. This is an excellent success rate.

Preeclampsia is one of the most serious complications of pregnancy. It develops after 20 weeks of gestation and is characterized by high blood pressure together with damage to various organ systems.
The condition has a significant impact on the health of both mother and baby and remains one of the leading causes of maternal and perinatal complications worldwide.
At our clinic, preeclampsia risk assessment and management are carried out in accordance with international clinical guidelines, ensuring the highest possible level of safety for both mother and fetus.
Statistically, preeclampsia affects approximately 2 to 8 percent of pregnancies. However, timely diagnosis significantly reduces the risk of serious complications.
Early risk assessment is particularly important. First-trimester screening, performed between 11 and 14 weeks of pregnancy, makes it possible to identify women at increased risk and implement preventive measures at an early stage.
Modern medicine allows pregnancy to progress safely through appropriate monitoring and management, minimizing health risks for both mother and child.
