Georgian wine was presented at ‘The Ultimate CEE Wine Fair’ in London as part of efforts to boost awareness and exports in the UK market, the National Wine Agency said.
The festival brought together winemakers from Central and Eastern Europe, with nearly 20 Georgian wine-producing companies showcasing their products to visitors.
A masterclass dedicated to Georgian wine was also held during the event, featuring wines that have received awards at international competitions. Around 40 representatives of the media, trade, and hospitality sectors attended the tasting.
The National Wine Agency says its UK marketing partner, ‘Swirl Wine Group,’ is continuing promotional activities aimed at increasing the visibility of Georgian wine. The campaign includes tasting seminars in cities across the UK, participation in international exhibitions, and targeted advertising and media campaigns.
The agency notes that up to 125,000 liters of Georgian wine were exported to the UK between January and May this year, an increase of 8% compared to the same period last year.
Promoting Georgian wine in international markets remains one of the National Wine Agency’s key priorities. Since 2013, the agency has been implementing marketing and advertising campaigns in Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia as part of its market diversification strategy.
