Direct flights between Georgia and Romania will resume on July 1, with Romanian airline DAN AIR launching regular service on the Bucharest–Tbilisi–Bucharest route.
United Airports of Georgia says the airline will operate flights twice a week — every Tuesday and Saturday — until October 24.
The company applied to Georgia’s Civil Aviation Agency for permission to operate the route, and the agency granted the necessary authorization on June 9.
The resumption of direct flights is expected to strengthen air connectivity between Georgia and Romania and support tourism and business travel between the two countries.
