US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has arrived in the Armenian capital, Yerevan.
Rubio was welcomed at Zvartnots International Airport by Armenia’s Foreign Minister, Ararat Mirzoyan, along with other officials.
Armenian media reports that the visit will be brief, with Rubio expected to remain at Zvartnots Airport for the duration of his stay.
During the visit, Rubio is scheduled to meet with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, and the two sides are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding.
Rubio arrived in Yerevan from India and, following the short visit, is expected to depart for Washington.
