The ‘European Youth Card’ program has officially launched in Georgia, with young people aged 18-30 now able to access up to 25,000 discounts and special offers across Europe.
The program is being implemented by Tbilisi City Hall as a licensed member of the European Youth Card Association, with support from the Council of Europe.
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze says the initiative is designed to increase opportunities for Georgian youth and strengthen ties with Europe.
“We want Georgian young people to never feel as if their access to opportunities is limited,” Kaladze stated. “This card is not just discounts – it is a new experience, new opportunities and even greater connection with the European space.”
With support from Georgia’s Ministry of Culture, special tariffs will also apply at 19 state museums and six theaters. Discounts will range from 5% to 40% on various services.
The card can be activated through the Bank of Georgia mobile bank application. Users will pay a one-time fee of 10 GEL, with the card remaining valid for one year.
