At least 118 people have died in an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the BBC reports.
Local officials say more than 390 suspected cases have been recorded, while the area affected by the outbreak has expanded.
A spokesperson for the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo said the spread of cases has widened to additional areas.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says two Ebola infections and one death have also been confirmed in Uganda.
The World Health Organization has declared the current outbreak, caused by the Bundibugyo virus, a public health emergency of international concern.
The WHO has advised the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda to introduce border screening measures to help prevent the spread of the virus. The organization also called on neighboring countries to strengthen preparedness, including surveillance in health facilities and communities.
