Public Service Development Agency reported, from June 9, the nationwide marriage registration ceremony is once again permitted.

“Persons wishing to register for a marriage in a solemn environment have the opportunity to apply for this service at all marriage houses operating on the territory of Georgia, including newly opened wedding venues in Telavi and Gurjaani, as well as to use the marriage registration service at any place they wish,” the statement reads.

To use the marriage ceremony service, the couple must take into account that in order to submit a joint application, they must book a visit to the House of Justice, community centers, territorial offices and marriage houses in advance on the portal – my.gov.ge.

The solemn ceremony in the marriage houses (spaces) registration of marriages was temporarily suspended from September 11, 2020, due to the regulations in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
