Tamar Gabunia, the Deputy Minister of Health of Georgia, announced that vaccination with “Sinovac” will start in Georgia next week.
“Sinovac is waiting for the authorization of WHO. An interim report of experts, which positively characterizes the results of Sinovac, has already been published. We hope the authorization will be coming soon. However, in order for the epidemiological needs to be addressed quickly and the essential groups to have access to the vaccine, the vaccination with Sinovac will start next week and will cover the age group above 18 years,” Gabunia said.
Deputy Minister noted the exact date will be announced by the National Center for Disease Control.
