UNM also appeals to the CEC to cancel the parliamentary list

Unity – National Movement party also applied to the CEC with the request to cancel the parliamentary list. Tina Bokuchava, the chairman of the party, announced this in Strasbourg.

As she mentioned, the corresponding letter will be submitted to the election administration today.

“I would like to make a statement as the chairman of the “Unity – National Movement” regarding the fact that our representative in the CEC will submit a letter signed by me in accordance with the law, which requires the Central Election Administration to withdraw our parliamentary list and we do not recognize the results of these elections, We refuse the mandates, we do not recognize the legitimacy of these elections and their results. We have already applied to the CEC in the name of all the members of the list, where signed letters were sent so that neither temporary mandates were issued nor the issue of recognizing our authority in the registration, because it was not transferred to the illegitimate parliament. Unfortunately, the embattled Giorgi Kalandarishvili, who was one of the main creators of the Russian special operation against the Georgian people, ignored our letters, in an unconstitutional step, he did not take into account our legally stated request that the issue of authority should not be transferred to the parliament, but I hope that at least now the CEC and Giorgi Kalandarishvili will comply with the letter submitted in the manner prescribed by law, with which Unity National Movement demands the canceling of the parliamentary lists. We demand the cancellation of the lists because we do not recognize the results of these elections and once again together with the rest of the opposition and I am glad that the position is completely united in this regard, we demand re-elections conducted by a free, professional central election administration that reflects the will of the Georgian people and precisely this will bring back the European perspective of Georgia”, said Tina Bokuchava.

For information, at the moment, the members of Unity-National Movement – Giorgi Vashadze and the members of Coalition for Change and Strong Georgia have already applied to the Parliament with the request to terminate their mandates.
