The Resorts Re-Open! Best Upcoming Deals for Winter Resort Hotels

Although there is just a month to go until the end of the ski season, the winter is still on and the mountains are covered with snow. For lovers of skiing and active recreation, there are a number of top quality hotels reopening this weekend that offer all the comfort and entertainment you need to get away from the familiar four walls of home! We’ve picked out some from the many to tempt you. Check them out below.

BEST WESTERN GUDAURI

Best Western Gudauri is offering two nights for two people for just $120, with breakfast!

Freshly re-opened, the 4-star Best Western Gudauri is ready to give you just what you need after the corona-stress. Featuring a bar, a spa (sauna and hot-tub!) and a wellness center, you’re sure to find your peace again here. And between all that relaxing, you can finally hit the slopes! The hotel also offers ski equipment hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area, and a shuttle bus to the pistes.

Other things going for this great accommodation are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and room service, along with free WiFi throughout, and free private parking.

Rooms come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a kettle, a shower, a hairdryer, a desk and a private bathroom.

And when you wake up from a well-earned sleep, you can grab a Full English/Irish breakfast or pick from the wide selection offered at the buffet.

MARCO POLO GUDAURI

Named the 2020 Best Ski Accommodation in the Welcome to Georgia National Tourism Awards, Marco Polo should definitely be on your list to visit.

Opening this weekend, we’ve been told that due to the pandemic, the hotel, which opened after a one-year closure, is fully ready to receive guests and, due to its focus on domestic tourism, offers that have been adjusted to the reality of the Georgian market. In addition, special discounts are available for Bank of Georgia Solo and TBC Concept customers.

Expect luxury at Marco Polo, with huge beds in spacious rooms that boast a balcony where you can enjoy the breathtaking mountain views. You’ll also be treated to a bathroom with a double-shower and heated floors throughout!

With à la carte options available throughout the day, in addition to the possibility of indulging in all-you-can-eat buffets for both breakfast and dinner, in terms of food, guests are well on their way to being spoiled rotten. Breakfast is as expected with a high-end hotel experience, with the added benefit of fresh pancakes prepared on demand. The dishes from their menu are high-quality samplings of authentic Georgian cuisine.

To cap off the relaxing and blissful experience, or to end a day exploring the slopes, guests are provided with a variety of entertainment, health, and recreation possibilities. These include a 24/7 fitness room, a spa offering a variety of massages, a sauna, a Jacuzzi, a swimming pool, and an entertainment room with video games, a bowling alley, billiard tables, indoor tennis courts, and a kids’ club.

The hotel rents ski and snowboard equipment to guests.

GUDAURI HILLS APART HOTEL

A standard apartment at the 4-star Gudauri Hills would normally set you back just 245 GEL a night, without breakfast, but to celebrate the season finally kicking off, the Gudauri Hills team is offering 220 GEL with a continental breakfast included, for 2 persons!

The hotel has a restaurant, bar, ski-to-door access, and free WiFi throughout. Free private parking is available and the hotel also features ski equipment hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area.

All rooms are fitted with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a kitchen, a dining area and a private bathroom with a hairdryer, a bidet and a shower. There’s also a desk for those taking work with them, and a kettle for those much-needed coffee breaks!

HOTEL BANGURIANI, MESTIA

Book here from March 8 onwards and enjoy a whopping 50% discount on their 2019 rates. You can take advantage of full- or half- board with or without a tasty continental breakfast to start your day.

Nominated for ‘Best Ski Accommodation’ at the 2020 Welcome to Georgia National Tourism Awards, Hotel Banguriani offers ski-to-door access, an on-site restaurant, free WiFi in public areas, and on-site parking.

Each of their rooms comes with a private bathroom equipped with a shower, and extras include bathrobes, slippers and free toiletries.

When not skiing, try a game of billiards, or head into the garden or enjoy the terrace surrounded by mountain views.

The hotel has a ski pass sales point and car hire is available. Airport shuttle can be arranged at a surcharge.

KOMOREBI BAKURIANI RESORT, BAKURIANI

Opened just over a year ago, and nominated for the 2020 Welcome To Georgia National Tourism Awards ‘Best 4-Season Mountain Accommodation’, the 4-star Komorebi Bakuriani Resort offers guests a restaurant, bar, shared lounge and garden. Best of all, it has ski-to-door access, ski equipment hire, and a kids’ club.

Rooms come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a fridge, a kettle, a shower, a hairdryer and a desk, as well as a much-appreciated private bathroom.

Enjoy a buffet breakfast to start your day, and if you need, take advantage of the other services the hotel offers: a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property.
