As of January 1, 2024, the population of Georgia is 1.1 percent less compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
Also compared to the previous year, Georgians’ life expectancy in 2023 increased by 1.3 units and amounted to 75.0 years, at 79.4 years for women and 70.6 years for men.
It should also be noted that in 2023, 44.6 percent of immigrants and 66.7 percent of emigrants were Georgian citizens.
