TBC Tech School, TBC’s online education initiative, has been providing high school students with free access to some of today’s most in-demand technology skills for the past three years. During this period, more than 4,500 students from across Georgia have participated in the program, with 35% coming from the country’s regions, while nearly 100 students have successfully graduated from its latest cohort.
TBC Tech School is designed to equip the next generation with essential digital and technological skills, while fostering critical thinking, innovation, and the competencies needed for the careers of the future. The program is open to students in grades 9–12 and is delivered entirely online, making high-quality technology education accessible to young people regardless of where they live in Georgia.
By adopting a fully online learning model, TBC is helping eliminate both geographical and financial barriers, ensuring that students across the country—including those who might otherwise have limited access to such opportunities—can benefit from quality technology education at no cost.
The curriculum is built around practical, hands-on learning. Under the guidance of experienced instructors from TBC and its educational partner GeoLab, participants develop skills in web development, website and mobile application creation, UI/UX and graphic design, social media marketing, and other high-demand technology fields. Students reinforce their knowledge by working on real-world projects throughout the program.
One of the initiative’s standout components is the TBC Tech School Ambassadors program, which empowers graduates to become technology advocates in their own communities. Ambassadors share their knowledge with peers across Georgia’s regions, presenting complex technology concepts, presentation techniques, and the practical use of artificial intelligence in a simple and engaging way. Implemented by TBC in partnership with GeoLab and Buckswood, the initiative is based on internationally recognized peer-to-peer learning models and aims to strengthen technology education and innovation in regional communities.
TBC continuously develops and updates the Tech School curriculum to reflect the rapidly evolving technology landscape and the changing interests of young learners. Applications for the next intake will reopen in September, offering students an even broader range of learning opportunities.
At the heart of TBC Tech School is a simple message: believe in your ideas, believe in your potential, and believe that you can help build the technologies of the future.
