Direct scheduled air services between Tbilisi and Shanghai will begin on July 15, the United Airports of Georgia has announced.
The flights will be operated by China Eastern Airlines three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
China Eastern Airlines will become the third Chinese carrier to operate direct scheduled flights between Georgia and China.
United Airports of Georgia announced that the new route is expected to strengthen tourism, business, trade and economic ties between the two countries.
“Together with the visa-free regime, travel between the two countries will become even easier,” the agency said.
