Spread of Covid-19 Virus Declines for Third Week

The Ministry of Education reports the rate of Covid-19 virus spread in schools has decreased for the third consecutive week.

The Ministry says that according to the data of the last week, the number of schools and separate classes in distance learning has significantly decreased throughout Georgia. According to today’s data, there are 137 schools and 358 separate classes for distance learning.

147 teachers of the risk group are on distance learning throughout Georgia from the renewal of the school space to the present day.

For the third week, the spread of the Covid-19 virus in schools is declining. Coronavirus has been confirmed in 0.7% of teachers and 0.3% of students in the last seven days.

70.9% of teachers and school administration representatives have been vaccinated at this stage.

The Ministry says that the recommendations in the field of healthcare are maximally protected in the schools and a safe environment has been created. This process is monitored by representatives of educational resource centers and the Ministry.
