Soso Gogashvili Releases Statement

Soso Gogashvili, former deputy head of the State Security Service, who is currently imprisoned, has released a statement.

Gogashvili states that the “illegal task” of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the former chairman of Georgian Dream, was carried out by Head of the Security Service Grigol Liluashvili and Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomalauri, and now it is the turn of Prosecutor General Irakli Shotadze and judge Mikheil Chinchaladze.

Gogashvili talks about Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri and says that he is not surprised by him, because a few years ago he kidnapped and tortured his daughter’s fiance.

In addition, in the statement, Gogashvili talks about journalist Afgan Mukhtarli and states that his kidnapping was ordered by Bidzina Ivanishvili.

“Another illegal task of Bidzina Ivanishvili was performed blindly by Liluashvili and Vakho, now it’s the turn of Shotadze and Chinchaladze to fabricate evidence and sentence me illegally. By the way, external and internal surveillance cameras recorded how illegal items and documents were brought in, and my family members also saw it, but the cameras have now been damaged and the recordings deleted by the Operational Technical Department, just like during the previous illegal assignments, such as 1) the beating of Gela Khvedelidze because of swearing at Bidzina on the phone, which was carried out by Partskhaladze’s gang and was erased by the Operational Technical Department, and 2) Bidzina’s task – the kidnapping of Mukhtarli, which was also erased by the Operational Technical Department,” reads the statement.
