A deadly shooting took place inside the Galeria shopping center in Gori, leaving a 30-year-old man dead and and his father seriously injured.
As eyewitnesses declared, the shooter, identified as a store owner at the center, opened fire during a dispute. “They had known each other for years and had neighboring stores,” one witness said, saying the conflict was the result of the competition over merchandise sales.
The 30-year-old victim died at the scene. His father was rushed to a medical facility, where doctors report his condition as critical.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that an investigation is underway under Article 19-109 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the attempted murder of two or more persons. The suspect was arrested at the scene.
