Shailene Woodley is visiting Georgia as part of a new Netflix project filmed in the country.
The actress, best known for the Divergent film series and the HBO drama Big Little Lies, recently visited the ethno village of Sisatura in the Samegrelo region. Photos of her visit have been shared on social media.
The project is being produced as part of a marketing campaign by Georgia’s National Tourism Administration.
Filming took place in the regions of Adjara, Samegrelo, Imereti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, and Mtskheta-Mtianeti. During the production, Woodley explored local culture, traditional cuisine, and the unique characteristics of each region.
One of the show’s main episodes will be dedicated entirely to Georgia, showcasing the country’s tourist attractions, gastronomy, and cultural heritage to an international audience.
Woodley rose to international fame through the Divergent trilogy and later starred in The Fault in Our Stars, The Descendants, and HBO’s Big Little Lies alongside Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, and Meryl Streep.
