Several opposition MPs demand to enter the session

Khatuna Samnidze, Tamar Kordzaia, Ani Tsitlidze, and Paata Manjgaladze demanded to enter the session of the Committee on Legal Issues.

They asked the Deputy Chairman of Parliament, Levan Ioseliani, to voice their issue at the session.

As Ioseliani noted, he will raise the issue of their admission to the committee, as he believes that it is important for the opposition to attend today’s discussion and have the opportunity to state their positions in this format.

A protest action is ongoing near the Georgian Parliament building. The rally participants are protesting the draft laws on foreign agents initiated by members of People’s Power.

At the meeting of the legal affairs committee, where both draft laws prepared by People’s Power are being discussed, the chairman of the committee, Anri Okhanashvili, called the mandator’s office to remove several deputies from the hall due to shouting from their seats.

Chairman of the United National Movement Levan Khabeishvili physically confronted Anri Okhanashvili.

At the session of the legal committee, the opposition MPs were forced to leave the hall.
