On April 22, at 13:00, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Georgia in cooperation with the Tbilisi City Hall and the Trade Union Association ‘Agora’ will organize the opening of a multifunctional regional beekeeping center in Tbilisi (address: Tbilisi, Bagebi, 63 Tskneti Highway).
During the opening ceremony, the parties will sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Czech Development Agency (CzDa), Tbilisi City Hall and ‘Agora.’ The ceremony will be attended on behalf of the Czech side by the Head of the Czech Development Agency, Mr. Jan Sliva.
The multifunctional regional beekeeping center was built and equipped with the latest equipment by the Czech Development Agency, Tbilisi City Hall and the Association ‘Agora.’ The total amount of investment is 405 565 euros.
The main vision of the Center is to be a key player in the growing beekeeping sector of Georgia and to promote the optimization and development of the beekeeping sector in the country, as well as the export of beekeeping products to the international market.
The aim of the center is to promote rural & urban connection, development of sustainable agriculture and vision of Tbilisi as a green city, adhering to the center’s principles of environmental protection, sustainable use of resources and inclusive growth.
