Protesters have erected barricades on Rustaveli Avenue.
Near the Opera and Ballet Theater, protesters erected barricades using garbage cans and various objects to block the space between them and the special forces unit that has set up a cordon near Tbilisi Marriott.
Demonstrators periodically shine lasers at law enforcement officers and use fireworks against them. The special forces unit in turn fires gas capsules in their direction.
