The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, hosted Ukrainian refugee children from Novopetrovka Orphanage at the Orbeliani Presidential Residence.
The President congratulated the children on the New Year, wished them success, and presented them with vouchers and sweets.
The children visited the Orbeliani Palace and were interested in the method of making chichilaki, which is the Georgian traditional Christmas tree that stands in the Orbeliani Palace.
Also, on the initiative of the President of Georgia, New Year’s gift vouchers were distributed to 700 Ukrainian children living in Tbilisi who are students of the 41st and 220th public schools.
