PM Presents Zurab Azarashvili as Minister of Health

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili has appointed Zurab Azarashvili as the Minister of Health.

“Today we present the new Minister of Health, Zurab Azarashvili. He has a Master of Business Administration, he has a lot of experience in financial management. He is a strong manager. I have witnessed it myself when I was the Minister of Defense,” Garibashvili said.

He noted that a number of important projects were implemented under Azarashvili’s leadership, such as the restoration of Georgian aviation. Also, lots of other projects related to strengthening defense forces and so on.

“Thank you very much, Mr. Prime Minister, for the great trust you have shown in me. It is a great responsibility for me to manage a ministry full of great challenges, but I am confident that with your support and that of the government team, we will be able to achieve tangible and significant success in the short term,” Zurab Azarashvili said.

On December 9, Georgia’s Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze has resigned.
