PM: Policy-making, De-occupation, Territorial Integrity Are Our Priorities

“I wish to thank you not only for your diplomatic endeavors in these challenging times but for behaving in a human manner in general in absolutely unusual conditions of socio-political life, because we managed to keep the vital topic of occupation and territorial integrity of our country at rather a high level in the political capitals of your countries of operation,” announced Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia when addressing the annual meeting engaging heads of overseas diplomatic missions of Georgia labeled as Conference of Ambassadors 2020 – Foreign Policy Priorities of Georgia within the Global Pandemic, New Challenges and Opportunities, held in an online format today.

The PM stressed that the territorial integrity of the country will remain the priority of the highest degree in any conditions of life in the future.

“We need to understand that it is the main challenge of our country. Hard work, policy-making, de-occupation and territorial integrity of our country will be our top priorities in any condition of life. We need to do our best to let nobody forget our number one challenge – occupation and territorial integrity of Georgia,” noted the Prime Minister.

“Regional changes and development of events that we are all witnessing will be of huge importance and Georgia managed to maintain its neutral position in these most challenging times,” he pointed out, further noting that kind neighborly relations in the South Caucasus is the main priority and vital aspect not only for the sovereign security of Georgia but economic development of the country.

Gakharia expressed his gratitude to diplomats for their work towards this end.

“It was underlined here that regional changes and development of events that we are all witnessing will be of huge importance and Georgia managed to maintain its neutral position in these most challenging times. Of course, we need to thank our diplomats here as well. Georgia managed to maintain its neutral position in these most challenging times, as kind neighborly relations in the South Caucasus is the main priority and vital aspect not only for the sovereign security of Georgia but the economic development of the country. We all need to conceptualize the importance of this neutrality for our country,” the PM noted.
